River Consulting currently seeks a Structural/Mechanical Designer for the design of industrial facilities and processes. Bulk material handling experience or extensive industry experience preferred, along with experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Layout of Mechanical and Conveying Systems
    • Layout and Drafting of Steel Structures

LEAD CIVIL DESIGN ENGINEER

Successful candidate will function as a lead civil design engineer responsible for development of calculations, specifications and construction drawings for industrial site development projects (grass root and/or major modifications) in a team oriented environment. Will interface with Clients, project managers, other discipline lead engineers, permitting agencies, utility companies and/or municipalities providing utility services, etc. Will supervise/direct efforts of other engineers, designers and CAD operators assigned to projects. Will prepare written scopes of work for and coordinate efforts of survey and geotechnical sub-consultants. BS Civil Engineering from an accredited university required. P.E preferred, or ability to obtain registration within 1 year.
5 to 10 years minimum experience in general civil engineering design including site development, roads/streets/highways, storm drainage collection and retention/detention systems, potable water distribution systems, sanitary sewer collection and pumping systems, site grading, earthwork, etc. Competent technical specification and report writer. Familiar with common civil engineering and Microsoft software packages (HEC, Land Development Desktop, EXCEL, WORD, etc.). Must have good written and oral communication skills.
Rail design, steel and/or concrete structural design, foundation design, civil construction cost estimating, permitting experience preferred. Electrical / Instrumentation Designer

River currently seeks an Electrical/Instrumentation Designer to design/draft electrical power infrastructure of port facilities (e.g., wharves, warehouses, port terminals, etc.), marine, industrial facilities and processes. Ideal candidates will have an Associates degree in electrical, controls, or instrumentation engineering technology, or BSEE entry level, or extensive industry experience. Construction Manager

River Consulting currently seeks an on-site construction manager experienced in commercial and industrial projects. The candidate must have:
    • good writing skills
    • an ability to analyze deficient field conditions and explain these conditions to the engineer, Owner and contractor

This is a multi year project in the New Orleans area.
